Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico was so powerful that everything was up side down after the hurricane. The experience of the feeling of a Hurricane shaking the big stone building was so terrifying.
The Category 5 Hurricane tore off most of the leaves from the tree trunk. The mountains and hills were completely brown color due to the leaves being all tore apart. It looked like winter but there is no winter in Puerto Rico.
For a while the Puertorican streets are all like this painting. The electricity was not restored completely for 8 months. The painting shows how normal life faded away replaced by memories of the tormenta and broken power lines.
We’ve sailed through a tropical storm and cannot even imagine what a Cat 5 would be like. Probably a brief experience that would have us questioning our life choices!
What an epic art work depicting Hurricane Maria, Lee! We can’t imagine the experience but this helps in a way to understand! Thank you so much for sharing! Best to Peter also! Mike & Liisa
Hello Lee:
Very impressive. At 65, you’re still young at heart. Enjoy!
